The Service provided to you is subject to the following Terms and Conditions (“T&C”). AUTHOR-ALARM, razvoj in prodaja avtomobilskih sistemov proti kraji, d.o.o. (AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o.) may change or update the T&C from time to time without notice. AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. provides this Service to you upon acceptance of these T&C. Your activation of AUTHOR-ALARM service signifies your agreement to be bound by these T&C. In addition, when using AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. provided Services, you are subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such Services that may be posted from time to time. AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. may update, amend, alter, or modify the T&C in the future and you agree that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. may make changes to the T&C at any time and for any reason at its sole discretion.

These services, collectively referred to as the “Service” are subject to our Terms. Any new features that enhance the Service, including the introduction of new services by AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o., will also fall under these Terms.

Please be aware that text messages and web communications facilitating communication between vehicles and our network may experience delays due to factors such as message traffic volume, weather conditions, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and priority transmission. AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. does not have control over these delays and is not liable for them.

To access the Service, you or the third party from whom you purchased AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. device, must pay a usage fee. Some products may include these fees in their sales prices. Maintenance fees may be included in the product’s price or paid in advance for specified terms (monthly, 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years). Canceling before the term’s end does not entitle you to a refund of prepaid fees. Renewing your service after the reactivation period has elapsed incurs an additional fee.

It’s important to note that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. products and services serve distinct functions and activities and do not impact your financial responsibility for payments related to either product or service.

As required or at the discretion of AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o., you may need to update your module’s firmware for proper operation and additional features support.

Please be aware that the availability of the Service may vary by location and may be subject to signal limitations based on topography, buildings, and atmospheric conditions. AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. is not liable for any interruptions in the Service or resulting damages in such cases.

To fully utilize the Service, internet access and/or a smartphone are required. You are responsible for any service fees associated with such access and must provide the necessary equipment for web connectivity.

It’s important to note that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. products and services provide vehicle location capabilities but note that this service is not a substitute for car insurance and are not a replacement for comprehensive vehicle insurance. 

Please be advised that the client assumes full responsibility for any damage resulting from changes to system settings or improper system use.

  1. Your Registration Obligations: 

By using the Service, you commit to the following:

If you provide information that is found to be untrue, inaccurate, not up-to-date, or incomplete, or if AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. has reasonable grounds to suspect such inaccuracies, AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. reserves the right to suspend your account and deny access to all present or future use of the Service, or any part thereof, until your registration data is verified.

  1. AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. Privacy Policy: 

Registration data and certain other information about you are subject to our Privacy Policy. The AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o.  privacy Policy covers AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. treatment of personal data that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. collects when you use the services of AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. This policy also covers our treatment of any personally identifiable information that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. partner(s) share with us. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. does not own or control or to people that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. does not employ or manage. 

To ensure adequate security for user login to the user account, we provide the option of two-factor authentication. By using 2FA, you will receive an SMS with a unique password when logging into your user account, enhancing the security of using the application. If we want to enable the use of 2FA, you will need to provide a phone number to which the solution can send SMS messages with unique access passwords. We will send SMS messages with unique passwords to you with every login to the application. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. guarantees that end user’s personal information will not be shared or sold to third parties for the purpose of marketing. For example – ‘No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

  1. Member Account, Password & Security: 

Upon completing the registration process for the Service, you will be provided with a password and an account designation. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your password and account details and to assume full responsibility for all activities conducted using your password or account. Please be aware that individuals or entities who possess knowledge of your password and account details may have the ability to monitor and/or manage the assets connected to the Service.

Furthermore, you acknowledge that you bear complete liability for all activities carried out through your account, and it is your duty to ensure that you are well-informed about, comprehend, and adhere to these Terms and Conditions, as well as any other regulations, policies, or notifications issued by AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o.

To safeguard your account’s security, you agree to:

(a) Promptly inform AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other security breaches.

(b) Ensure that you log out of your account at the conclusion of each session.

AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. cannot and will not be held accountable for any losses or damages of any kind resulting from your failure to comply with this section.

  1. SMS Terms & Conditions 

By checking the box to accept the agreement terms during the registration process in the application, you give your consent to receive messages from us in accordance with the terms of service.


By opting into our SMS service, you agree to receive text messages necessary for the functionality of our two-factor authentication system and occasional informational or promotional messages. This agreement is subject to the following terms:

Opt-In: Consumers opt-in by texting START to (+1) 4064808880. This action grants us permission to send you SMS messages related to security features such as two-factor authentication and other service notifications that you might find of interest.

Message Frequency: The number of messages you receive will depend on your engagement with our services and may vary.

Cost: Any messages sent or received may incur charges from your mobile carrier. Please consult with your carrier about potential costs.

Support: If you require assistance, send “HELP” to (+1) 4064808880 or contact our customer support at support@author-alarm.com.

Cancellation: You can opt out of our SMS communications at any time by texting “STOP” to (+1) 4064808880. Upon opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.

7. Member Conduct

You agree not to utilize the AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. Services for the following purposes:

AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. and its representatives have the discretion to refuse or remove any notification messages accessible through the Service. You accept that you must assess and assume all risks associated with using any content, including relying on its accuracy, completeness, or usefulness. You also agree to pay all royalties, fees, and other obligations owed to any individual due to any content posted by you. You acknowledge that you cannot rely on any content created by AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. or submitted to the Service.

8. No Resale of Service: 

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit for commercial purposes, any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service, without the sole written consent of AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. 

9. General Guidelines for Service Usage and Storage:

You recognize that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. may establish overarching guidelines and restrictions regarding the utilization of the Service. These may encompass factors such as the maximum frequency and duration for which you can access the Service within a specified timeframe or data consumption. 

Failure to upgrade or settle the additional service charges may result in a suspension of service at the discretion of AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. 

You consent to the understanding that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. no responsibility or liability for the deletion or inability to retain any notifications, communications, or other content hosted or transmitted by the Service. Additionally, you acknowledge that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o.  retains the right to log off accounts when Service usage fees are not paid promptly. Furthermore, you agree that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. retains the right to modify these general guidelines and restrictions at any time, based on its sole discretion, with or without prior notice.

10. Modifications to Service: 

AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or temporarily suspend the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. You agree that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification or suspension of the Service.

11. Termination: 

You acknowledge and consent to AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. to, at its sole discretion, terminate your password, account (or any part thereof), or your usage of the Service. Additionally, AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. reserves the right to remove and dispose of any content within the Service if you fail to make timely payments for Service use fees or if AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. believes that you have violated or acted inconsistently with the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.

You agree that any cessation of your access to the Service, as per any provision of these terms and conditions, may be executed without prior notice. Furthermore, you recognize and accept that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. may promptly deactivate or delete your account, including all associated information and files within your account. This action may also encompass restricting any further access to such files or the Service.

Furthermore, you concur that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o.  shall not be held liable to you or any third party for any termination of your access to the Service in accordance with these terms and conditions.

12. Dealings with Advertisers: 

Your interactions or commercial transactions with Advertisers, as well as engagement in promotions offered by advertisers located on or accessible through the Service, such as payments and the receipt of related goods or services, as well as any other terms, conditions, warranties, or representations related to these transactions, are the exclusive responsibility of you and the respective advertiser involved. 

You consent to the understanding that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. bears no responsibility or liability for any form of loss or damage resulting from such interactions or due to the presence of these advertisers on the Service.

13. Links: 

The Service may offer links to other websites or resources on the Internet and/or mobile platforms, which may also be provided by third parties. AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. has no authority over these external sites and resources. You understand and consent to the fact that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. is not accountable for the availability of these external sites or resources. Moreover, AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. neither endorses nor holds responsibility or liability for any content, advertising, products, or other materials found on or accessible from these external sites or resources.

You further acknowledge and accept that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. shall not bear responsibility or liability, either directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss that may be caused or claimed to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services made available on or through any of these external sites or resources.

14. Proprietary Rights: 

You recognize and consent to the fact that the Service, as well as the essential software utilized in conjunction with the Service (referred to as “Software”), encompasses confidential and proprietary information that is safeguarded by relevant intellectual property and other legislations. Additionally, you acknowledge and agree that the content featured within sponsor advertisements or provided to you via the Service or advertisers is safeguarded by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents, or other proprietary rights and legal provisions.

Unless expressly authorized by AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. or its advertisers, you commit to refraining from making alterations, renting, leasing, lending, selling, distributing, or generating derivative works founded upon the Service or Software, either in its entirety or in part.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties:

Your warranty extends for a period of up to one year from the original date of purchase. 

Your utilization of the service involves inherent risks. The service is delivered on an “as is” and “as available” basis. AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. explicitly renounces all forms of warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a specific purpose, and non-infringement.

AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. makes no assurance that:

Although infrequent, AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. systems rely on GPS and cellular networks, and since these networks can occasionally be affected by various phenomena, including but not limited to solar storms, solar flares, or sunspots, which may impact GPS signal timing and, in turn, the accuracy of vehicle location for subscribers. These disruptions are rare and beyond the control of AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. or any other entity and AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. cannot warrant or be held liable for natural or unnatural interruptions. likewise, terrestrial cellular signals may be influenced by terrain, buildings, and atmospheric activity, which could lead to irregular signal propagation, resulting in intermittent loss, delay, or deletion of text messages.

No information or advice, whether verbal or written, received from AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. or via the service shall create any warranty that is not specifically set forth in the terms and conditions. In the rare scenario where a customer’s tracking device becomes inactive for any reason, it is the customer’s responsibility to promptly arrange for the unit’s repair. The period during which the Service is inactive does not constitute an extension of the hardware warranty on its own, nor does it release the customer from their financial obligation regarding their subscription. Given the secure nature of the AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. Service, all efforts will be made to repair our products as swiftly as possible, whether the product is within or outside of its warranty period.

AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. is no responsible for any damage or loss of vehicles, property, assets or people caused by unauthorized or inappropriate use of our Services and devices. 

16. Trademarks and Copyrights: 

The trademarks and service marks of AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o., including logo, service logo, and other AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. logos and product and service names, are the property of AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. and are protected by trademark and service mark laws. You are not permitted to display or use the AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. trademarks and service marks without the prior permission of AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o.

17. General Information:

Compliance with Slovenian applicable Laws: You are required to adhere to all relevant laws in connection with your use of the website, products, and services, as well as access to your accounts. No feature, function, software, or any of its components should be downloaded from the website, products, or services, or otherwise exported or re-exported in violation of European export regulations. Any downloading or use of software is solely at your own risk. Furthermore, you agree not to upload to the website, products, and services any data or software that necessitates prior written government authorization for export, which includes but is not limited to certain types of encryption software.

Equitable Remedies: You acknowledge that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. would suffer irreparable harm if these Terms and Conditions were not strictly enforced. Therefore, in addition to any other remedies available under these Terms and Conditions, at law or in equity, you agree that AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. is entitled to seek appropriate equitable remedies for breaches of these Terms and Conditions, without the need for a bond, other security, or proof of damages.

Severability and Waivers: If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is deemed invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, it will be considered separable from this agreement and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. The failure of AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o., to enforce any provisions of these Terms and Conditions or to exercise any rights or remedies under these Terms and Conditions will not be construed as a waiver of AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. right to assert or rely on such provisions, rights, or remedies in that or any other instance. Instead, they will remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any term in these Terms and Conditions will be considered a continuing waiver of that term or any other term.

Non-Assignment: These Terms and Conditions and the rights granted herein are personal to you and cannot be assigned. AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. reserves the right to transfer or assign these Terms and Conditions, the website, products, or services, either in whole or in part, to third parties of our choosing.

Force Majeure: AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. will not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, which may include, but is not limited to, unforeseen circumstances or events such as acts of nature, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, actions by civil or military authorities, fires, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.

Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions, your use of the website, products, and services, your interactions with AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o., and any matters arising from them are considered to have been entered into in Ljubljana and will be governed by the laws of Slovenia, without regard to its choice of laws principles. You consent to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the Slovenian courts.

Entire Agreement: These Terms and Conditions constitute the complete, final, and integrated agreement between you and AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o. regarding the subject matter herein and supersedes all previous and contemporaneous understandings and communications, whether oral or written, between you and AUTHOR-ALARM d.o.o.
